In September of 2006 Lael & I took a Mediterranean cruise on Carnival Cruise line for our vacation. The cruise stopped in Italy, Croatia, Spain, and France, however with 5 stops in Italy it could almost be considered an Italian cruise. This was an absolutely wonderful trip. We left on Saturday September 2nd and flew on Delta from Portland, Oregon to Atlanta, Georgia then on to Rome, Italy. Because of the wonderful 9 hour time difference we lost a day and arrived the morning of September 3rd which was the day before the cruise left. This allowed us to see a bit of Rome before the cruise.
The itinerary below is an image map. Clicking on the day or port will take you to a summary of that day (as well as the photos). Clinking on “View Shore Excursions” for a particular day will take you to a description of the excursion we went on that day (on the Carnival Cruise line website). In the itinerary below there is one piece of information that is incorrect. We were on the ship named the Liberty not the Freedom. To see some pictures around the ship.
Christie was asked by a friend to take pictures of a Troll in each of the different countries we visited.
